battery Reply #1 – February 03, 2011, 09:50:48 PM I would buy an interstate battery. Have on in my 1972 Olds, fires right up no matter how long it sits. Quote Selected
battery Reply #2 – February 03, 2011, 10:03:42 PM I've always bought Die Hards. I've never had a problem with them. Quote Selected
battery Reply #3 – February 04, 2011, 09:38:40 AM I don't recommend Everstart, Walmart's house brand. The one in my car is pretty lousy. It doesn't preform very well when cold and it doesn't last long while the car's off, like listening to music or what-not. Quote Selected
battery Reply #4 – February 04, 2011, 10:23:33 AM I'd invest in either a trickle charger or a quick disconnect. Quote Selected

The only plus is it has a 3 year warranty, and well it's walmart so you can return it whenever. Quote Selected
battery Reply #6 – February 05, 2011, 09:48:55 PM Yeah. Everstart has a nice warrnty, but eventually you get tired of taking it all the way back to wal mart. After the 3rd one down in my cougar, I'm switching to a Duralast red top next week when I do the trans Quote Selected
battery Reply #7 – February 06, 2011, 11:35:59 AM I've had no problems whatsoever with my Walmart battery in my Explorer (4.0 OHV) and I'd like to think I have a pretty decent sound system. However I've only had it since august of '09.... Quote Selected
battery Reply #8 – February 06, 2011, 01:49:28 PM I have a $35 walmart battery in my Thunderbird right now. It was used daily for two years and at least 45k. After having it parked since November, I just try to start it every other week. So far it has been fine. Even in 0 to 10f degrees. Sometimes, you get a bad battery. Most of the time though, there is a reason why a certain car eats batteries. Quote Selected
