A/C line "foam" material where to buy? November 28, 2010, 07:29:27 PM I know some of you guys have done this, but the foam insulation stuff that covers on the AC line (the one that comes from the condensor and goes up over the upper intake and over to the evaporator)...where do you all get that stuff?Chances are my engine bay will never look as nice as some of the others on this site, but replacing that "foam" material would do wonders for my engine compartment. Mine is coming a apart and starting to look like doo-doo . Quote Selected

A/C line "foam" material where to buy? Reply #4 – December 01, 2010, 09:59:19 AM thunderjet302, I am jelous of your engine bay. How much time do you devote to cleaning under there? I am a clean freak but ! Nice work. That foam insulation looks really good as well. Has it held up to underhood heat OK?I guess I need to stop by a home improvement store this weekend and buy some of that stuff up. I think it greatly improves the underhood looks! Quote Selected
A/C line "foam" material where to buy? Reply #5 – December 02, 2010, 02:05:50 PM The foam has held up fine over the last 2 years. The car is not a dd so I couldn't say how long it would last driven every day.I "clean/dust" the engine bay at least once a month when I'm driving the car. I just clean it with Meguiar's quick detailer when it's cold. It usually gets cleaned every 200 miles or so. I usually drive it about 200 miles or less a month from April to the end of October.
