Overheated engine

The car didn't seem to have the power it had last time at the track. Maybe a little more timing....but it started to ping at wot and I didn't get out of it right away. She started to run rough and thought it could be the #8 plug which fouls every once in while. New plug didn't help and she's running hot enough to kill the motor from a safeguard built into the tune. Thanks decipha!
She trys to make it home, overheated killed, won't crank and suspect hydralocking.:disappoin
Pressure test to confirm diag.
Pics to come.

I'm guessing this isn't the first time you heard ping and muttered "hold together baby...."

Cast those dice as many times as you want, but once n a while they come up snake eyes.  I did the same to my SC a few years back.
My car is a gravity hybrid.  The gasoline engine gets me up the hills, and gravity gets me down.
