I dream of Cougar

Yep. The other day I had what I think was my second dream about a cougar.

It was a 5.0 cfi car sitting in a local JY (that doesn't actually exist thx dreamland). The car was in semi decent shape, and still had the battery in it cause it had just been put in the staging area. Well, the keys were in it and I just couldn't help but start her up. And start up she did. I tried to drive it, it was a floor shift, I through her in reverse, but it didn't really move. Gas pedal was stuck real bad. It did finally move thougn, I drove it aroud the parking lot and parked it. End of dream.

The last time I dreamed about one I dreamed that my own had suicide doors int the back (like an RX-8) and the rear windows rolled down like a Galaxie.

So how many of you other over-obsessed crazies out there have dreamed about your cars? Don't act like you haven't. I know you have.

I'll tell you what's insane...

I had a nightmare about my old black cougar that I sold to a friend... I dreamed that it was at a local junkyard (that exists). I woke up with a strange feeling about it that wouldn't go away. I had some free time, so I decided to go to the junk yard just for the heck of it. AND THERE IT WAS! Smashed on a pile. It wasn't smashed in my dream though. I asked the guy when they smashed it, and they said they did it that morning... Freaky. It's like it was calling out to me at the last second... I don't even believe in that sort of thing, but it absolutely happened.

I called my friend and asked him why he junked it. He said he just wanted it out of the driveway. There was nothing wrong with it (this was when s prices were high, and the car was pretty rough looking, he figured he could get the same money junking it as he could selling it, with less hassle).

Not really that crazy. I've seen the near future/present more than a few times in dreams, always similar to that sort of situation.

What an asshole! Why didn't he just give it back to you!!!

When I was working graveyards, I had alot of crazy dreams. Whenever there was a car involved, it was like watching a movie. I would go to work, pay bills ect. Then what seemed like months/years later, I would take all the money I saved, and dump all of it into the car. I almost always woke up right as I was ready to start it for the first time.

Graveyard shifts age you badly, and play alot of games mentally.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
