1980's American Racing square/trapezoid "5-slot" wheel? January 19, 2015, 07:54:42 PM Anyone know what name/model # this guy is? Pretty sure someone on here with a dark blue or maybe black 87/88 TC had 'em and I really liked the look. Quote Selected

1980's American Racing square/trapezoid "5-slot" wheel? Reply #2 – January 20, 2015, 01:01:55 PM Hell no!! :) Agreed I cannot think of any other wheel I'd want on that car. I also have no idea if these are 5-lug or 4-lug. I'm assuming 5 since I'm 99% sure it was a TC that they were bolted onto in the pictures I saw.Just for the record. So I can search for them and if there's a smokin' deal snap 'em up and then try 'em out on something someday. If they were 4-lug I couldn't help but bolt 'em on the black car just to see. The center caps on the snowflakes tend to hide this. Of course there are many TCs that have been converted to 5 lug... :D Quote Selected
1980's American Racing square/trapezoid "5-slot" wheel? Reply #6 – January 20, 2015, 09:57:00 PM WAT? I coulda sworn they were 5-lug....? Thought that was a source for 5-lug swaps, whilst also providing a disc-brake 8.8 rear.Someone say redneck...trailer trash.....???????Been in LOVE with these wheels ever since mom got me a Matchbox Dodge Viper when I was about 10. It had these wheels on it. Fast forward 13 years, bam $75 on CL, with twice the legal limit in tread on the tires. Off some guy's Jeep. Wheels a little beat up but great from 10 feet away. SSSSsold!!My little brother, who knows nothing about cars but truly has some taste and a sharp mind...doesn't say much unless it's really worth saying...said "Those wheels gotta go" the instant I bolted 'em on. I'm sorry. I think the car looks incredibly bad-ass, and it's way better than the simple base hubcaps it had. Plus white letter tires, ALWAYS wanted some! Although in this case I'd prefer without I guess, kinda looks a little too busy.Hammer. I feel like that sounds familiar. That's-a-keeper! Writing that down. Quote Selected
