l4 v6 v8 kmembers

ok can anyone tell me if the kmembers for the l4, v6, v8 are the same? and what about the mustang kmember is that the same as the v8?

For the same year, yes they are same... Using the correct motor mounts, any engine can be swapped...

Mustang x-member is different but similar to early Bird...

the motor mounts for the mustang and tbird are not the same right

For your year car, all engines use the same crossmember.  The only thing you need is the proper motor mounts.

What you'd like to do would be useful information, so folks can answer specific questions.  The general knowledge you are asking about can be found on the forum by searching.

'86-'88 mounts are unique to Birds & Cougs, '85-earlier are same as Stang...

im takeing a motor out of one bird and puting it in a other bird but the motor that im takeing out is from a mustang its an ho. and iv been looking as it and it sits lower than my other bird dose with a 5.0. so im trying to find out if its the motor mounts or the kmember thats makeing it sit so low.

Mounting points on the 5.0 engine is same regardless of where engine originated, has to be a motor mount issue...

ya i can see the motor mounts and they loo smaller than the other cars motor mounts

The crossmembers between your 87 and 88 are identical.

It's an issue with the mounts themselves.

ok thats what i thought it was. just wanted to make sure that the guy that put the motor in it did not use that mustang one.
