84 radio wiring

I bought a really nice 84, but as usual, the guy put a new Pioneer in and the dash lights don't work. All I need is the original radio wiring diagrams. Thanks

Thanks for the info. Yeah, the guy told me it was installed by Best Buy, but I have my doubts. If that were the case, I would hope it would've been more professional.

Here are some 84 radio diagrams. They are on my old ISP's free space. I can no longer access it to add to it or erase it so I guess it is there forever.

I cut off the wires from a good radio out of my 84, just so I could have the harness for a CD player adapter. No need to buy the 10 dollar Autohole adapter.

With these diagrams I can wire up the system.  :P

These diagrams are not showing radio illumination wiring. Dash lights and radio illumination when the headlight switch is on is the light blue wire with a red stripe. Sometimes there are two of these wires joined together at the same harness connector pin. If one of the wires is cut and not joined with the other, then it will interrupt the supply of current needed for other lights in the dash.

It is also a possibility that if the lt.blue/red wire was connected the connection is not good.
