Quick HO head swap Q's

i just want to swap my stock heads (burnt valves) for the HO heads i got, can i use the rockers on the HO heads, or do i need to swap them with the 1.7's i have... thats all guys

Yes you can use the stock rocker arms.

Why are the valves on the SO heads burned? Make sure that issue is addressed before ruining another set of valves on the HO heads.

cool thanks actually they burned up cuz before i got the car needed a dist cap bad n when i got the car and changed it the contacts were all grooved at least an eigth inch.. so from so much preignition, they burned up, and a bad timing chain doesnt help both were changed as soon as i got the car, but over time the valves got worse, i can tell cuz with my exhaust i dont get that 5.0 pop, its more like a gurgle,, and there really no power...... i drive it like a stick cuz in drive it feels like a constant bog every time it shifts,,,,, thanks demon BTW i got a job servicing semis so the cat should see a major rebuild soon finally..........

I've never seen bad valves in a fulie 5.0, you should run a compression test to be sure... I know a guy that has a '88 Sport with 347K+ miles, bottom end rattles but valves are still fine...
