BAD BAD NEWS!!!!!! Transmission trouble

Well, the last 2 times I have driven my car the tranny has been getting extremely hot.(compared to normal) I have since changed the filter and the fluid, wich now it shifts a little harder.LOL. No slipping issues or anything working incorrectly. I am really stuck on this situation since I swore that if this tranny went out I would put a manual in the car, but I don't know what would be cheaper and hold up better. I had the AOD rebuilt 7 years ago and have nothing but love for it, but I would love to get my car in the low 11's by putting a 5 speed in the car.I don't think I can put a stock t-5 in the car with the HP I have but I might have to since looking at the tremec prices. I am open to suggestions and if anyone knows what might be wrong with my AOD.

Do you have a tranny temp gage, or are you just noticing more heat coming through the floor?

Are you running thru a separate cooler or the radiator ? Make sure your lines aren't clogged or restricted. Also, make sure you don't have a bunch of  in the fins.

longer I drive it the hotter it gets, it usually runs 165 but lately 210 before I have to shut it down don't want to burn it up.

but it never stops climbing and the tranny temp should be close to engine temp(normal engine temp is 180*). I had both fans on trying to cool the fluid, the engine was 155* and the tranny continued to climb.
