'88 TC Convertible?!

Was browsing ebay, And noticed this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/87-88-FORD-THUNDERBIRD-HOOD-4-CYL-TURBO-COUPE-/110529281944?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19bc0eff98

Is that an actual 'Vert top!?! or just a Makeshift Vinyl Lookalike?
Very Interesting...

Wow. That's pretty sketchy, I thought it was for the whole car. Why bother posting pics of the whole car then? The information doesn't clearly say it's only the hood either.

I'm so glad that the 80's fad of carriage tops is well and truly dead (at least for now). Remember when they used to be everywhere? Even worse, they would r-u-s-t at where the screws met the body -- either the screws themselves or the body itself. Just about every carriage-top car I used to see would have a rust trail below each screw.

Ouch, I feel rather like I just gouged out both eyes with a rusty pushrod.

That poor ole TC looks uglier than a bucket of smashed assholes.

Somebody make an offer for the whole car. Strip to bare shell. Burn the ugly part. Forget we ever heard of such an abomination.

Live happily ever after. :rollin:
