I got a job

Thank goodness!  Man the economy is a bear, but I finally landed a job with Lockheed-Martin. I've been looking for 4 months.  Looks like I will be back working on jets again! Now I can afford to get that motor rebuilt.

CONGRATS!  This is great for you and I hope it's a sign for the nation as a whole.

I did not lose my job but I did go to 3/4 time.  On June 29th they tell me I will go back to full time for 6 months and I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks everyone...I am gonna be working on the new F-35 program.  The irony is I will be working in almost the same place as I was when I was active duty.

lol it was a hacker handle for the character dade murphy in the movie hackers. The only problem I'm having with it is figuring out where an oil leak is comming from. I'm thinkin it's the pcv valve. http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=28004

Yea kinda weird you spent so many years active over there, retire, wait for the construction, and go back as a civi makin the good money

I put a new main seal and pan gasket on there, plus a new input shaft seal on the trans.  I had the whole engine/trans out to do it.

yea i remember you telling me that. I don't know for sure at all what it is. it's looking like it's coming from the rear seal. i'm gonna put it up on some ramps and have the car running since it's not leakin when it's off, to see where is coming from. I can see the smoke when i have my head under the hood, but can't see where it'shiznittin. my guess is the crossover pipe for the exhaust manifolds

I'm working at Lockheed right now. At the Ocala branch. I don't work directly for them though, I work for a drywall subcontracting company doing construction over there. We're on and off over there quite a bit. They are actually one of our biggest clients. I was laid off for the last week and a half, and then on tuesday they called me up and said there was work at LM for me. They are the only client we have right now. My company is 1 foot and several toes in the grave. LM seems like a good company to work for though. I tried to get a job there a few years ago, as a board solderer, didn't work out. They never called me back for the 3 weeks of training lol
'gratz on getting back to work
