1988 xr7,what did they come with?

My buddy is now looking at an 88 xr7,what suspension,rear end did they have?
From what i've read, it should be an 8.8 posi(unsure of stock gear)quad shock.
Beefed up sway bars.
Did they have the 11" TC front brakes?
Any and all info would be appreciated.

Nope we got the small ones.

8.8 posi, I think it is a 3.08, with quad shocks.

yes it is an 8.8 traction lock with 3.08 gears and has quad shocks

Really? What kinds of options, colors and stuff? I have seen many white XR-7's but haven't found a match to mine. They all seem to have red or gray interiors. I've only seen LS's with the blue but they weren't leather.

Unsure of int color as i have not contacted the guy yet,but he says it has never been winter driven and has been rust proofed every year.
Full load with moonroof.

Looks like it has a red pin stripe so it should have a red interior. Sweet find. I saw two white xr-7's around me for sale. One was a complete mess with few optons and the other had most of the options but the seller painted the molding black and it had a really py repaint. That one looks really good. Original paint with the stripe intact. Even mine was repainted before I got it.

Yay, finally it appears someone other than me likes the bra! :banana: :banana:
Well maybe not likes but doesn't think the car looks bad with it.
Seems that most of the time I hear get rid of the bra, it's stupid, outdated and so on. It does look meaner with the bra. The car is an awful lot of white and the bra really sets it off. Mines only going to be on until I can get the car repainted(not anytime soon). Front bumper has a really py paint job on it so the bra covers it. Wasn't sure of it at first but now I'm used to it and I like it.

Yup, lose the bra. :p

I saw a few white/blue 88 XR7s. One of them was brand new in 1988 when we bought our red/red. It was totally stripped down, no options at all! Not even power windows. The club racer of the Cougar family, I thought it was cool.

That must be an uncommon car. That's the first time I've ever heard of an '88 XR7 with crank windows.

Its very uncommon...but I mentioned that one before and a coupla people said someone here has an XR7 with that too. I wonder who in their right mind would order an XR7 like that back in the day, I'd have fired them!
