1983 cougar LS 5.0 FS $1350 OBO NEED GONE!! June 09, 2008, 07:45:55 PM OK, so I am selling my cougar because i picked up a 70 mustang coupe i am going to start working on. There are a few things that still need work on the car, but overall its in pretty good shape. The interior is in decent shape, the dash pad has some cracks but is all there. the door panels could use some attention. the headliner is falling down but I'll put it back up good before it sells. I also have a new radio/climate control trim piece for it that is in excellent condition. the seats have no rips, but are dirty. The car has power everything, i have the original window sticker for the car from 83 as well. It also has the fully digital gauge cluster that works fine.OK about the engine. the car has almost 200k on it, but the engine only has 98k, it was pulled from a crown vic and converted over to carb. I have pictures to verify the swap. there are a few things done to the motor performance wise, it runs great, no smoke and starts up fine. It has a high-rise, but i'll give the buyer the option of a holley contender dual plane instead. bolt ons are:Edelbrock 600cfm carbWieand high rise manifoldholley shorty headersh-pipe with glass packs and turn downsFULL MSD ignition (6a box, blaster 3 coil, bittet distributor)Ford racking wiresNGK plugsaeromotive 4 port pressure fuel pressure regulatorA/c delteted (can be hooked back up)heads have smog ports pluggednew stock torque converterThe transmission slips a little, but its the original AOD from the car so i figured it was time for a new one anyway or a re-build. the car has original paint, NO rust0-through anywhere, just a few small surface spots under the hood. The car is located in central NC, but will be back in VA by the end of July if it does not sell. 1983 cougar LS 5.0 FS $1350 OBO NEED GONE!! Reply #2 – June 10, 2008, 07:24:26 AM The motor is from a 92 vic, still has original cam and heads. The heads were pulled before we installed the engine to check the cylinders, and everything was fine. put new head gaskets on it. Quote Selected
