See what mischief I've been getting into.

Well I have been pretty busy lately. Over the past week I have been working on installing airbags on my car. Now I have finished installing and am having fun playing with them. The only problem is my compressor is still backordered so I have to stop at the gas station a lot to fill the tank up. :giggle: I have put about 200 miles on the car since the completion and have had no problems yet. Also when I did this I installed mustang control arms, ball joints, and tie rod ends. I need to find shorter struts for the front because that is what is holding me up from going any lower.. Anywho I also put new door handles on too but I didn't really feel like making a new thread just for that. And without further delay here are the pics.

Don't worry, I am getting a front end alignment on Friday April 29th.

Oh and I should have the back done by May 14th, but don't hold me to it. :D

, that's hot!  I've always wanted to do that with a Fox car and now I know it can be done.  How much was the whole setup?  Also, did you but bags on the rear too, or not?  If so it doesn't look like the rear is moving very much.

Anyway, congrats, that looks incredible.

So far I have spent about $800, and no the back isn't done yet. But it will be very soon(I plan on ordering the parts I need tomorrow). It took about a week of working on it after work (1-2 hours a night) and all day Sunday to finish everything. It wouldn't have taken nearly as long if I hadn't changed the control arms. I also got my compressor today, now I can really start having some fun.

the rears will be easy

can you control each bag individually, or is it a front/rear setup?
It's Gumby's fault.

Man, all I can say is PIMP!  I'm guessing you just got a setup for a Mustang and used thier front CA's so the bags would work.  I'll be interested to see how the rears come out.  The extra height you get by using airbags at max inflation should cure any sag caused by using traditional springs, etc.  Can't wait to see it!

Actually I used S-10 front brackets and just modified them until it worked. I found a bracket set for a mustang but they wanted like $350 for the brackets and 2 airbags. I changed control arms because of the wheel backspacing in front. If I had left the original control arms on the wheels would have hit the fenders when I dropped it. With the mustang control arms the wheels fit in the wheel well very nicely and they don't hit the fenders at all. :D
