All of the cops hated them and they would try to keep the mileage down on their 86-90 Caprices so they could keep them longer.

My guess is the same will happen. Cops will want to keep their Crown Vics as long as possible.

Funny thing is, when the "bathtub" Caprice went away cops tried to hang onto them for as long as possible because with the LT1 they were superior to the Crown Vic. I knew one in particular that had over 300k km on it (~200k miles) and had been through several paint jobs. The cop that drove it always said that when the car retires, he retires. Far as I know he kept that promise...
