Might buy a 87 TC bad Turbo

What are my options for replacing a turbo? It probably is garbage, the supply line was kinked, and seized it. I am gonna compression check the engine before i buy. Oh i am new here so hello.

There are lost of options from a rebuilt stock unit to an older T3 turbo(with a few mods to make it work), and then you go to the larger scale of using the Dodge spoogemins turbos of the HX or HY variety.  I would think you need to know what you want to do with the car and what your goals would be.

The car doesnt have much time left. It rusted just like my 87 v8 did, all in the back. The front frame rails and the strut towers look good. It may be a lost cause. I want to drive it for as long as the body has, so maybe i should stay with the stock ihi. Anyone got a spare?

I would. Then part the car out later.

I had people tell me to get rid of my Capri for years. People hate them compared to a Mustang. I rather have a Capri or a Tbird/Cougar...hell even a Fairmont then a Mustang.

I think the weight of what Jerry said is lost on yas....lol, look at his thread...you can save ANYTHING...given enough time, and metal lol

But if you're going to just drive it as is, and not mod it, then a stock turbo would be my plan of attack for it. :D
