my car is trying to kill me

well my rear wheel bearing went bad, so i went to get it replaced at my grandfather's tire shop today. they went to rotate the tires and found that the front passenger wheel had one stud broken off, and another one was pretty much stripped. this is the same wheel that had the lugnuts come loose on one of my last road trips.
oh, and apparently there's a small bolt on the spider gear that sheared off too  :shoothead $180 later my car is driveable

lol I know how you feel, went to grease the t-bird monday only to notice my drivers coil in 4 pieces. Upon unbolting the strut said spring  proceded to try and be-head me, then i got to spend 45 mins chiseling out 1/2 a coil that had welded its self to the control arm... after 4 hours of fighting I got the one side done... the other side isnt as bad so it can stay broken, the car sits fairly level lol

I just spent my last $50 on a serpintine belt and a new pulley for my belt tensioner. Found out that my belt tensioner was seized. Got to change it out instead of go to a movie and hang out with some frineds, with NO TOOLS

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
