overheating problem? Reply #16 – November 11, 2009, 02:13:36 PM I had an electrical issue with my '88 Cat, V6, converted to the buttstuffog gauge package. About a year later the 5v regulator fried, literally, at 3am. I ended up building a 5v regulator. ( I am an electronic tech) this fixed things. I now have a 88 Cat with the full digital package, and 5.0. So no more regulator issues. Quote Selected
