Ft. Hood...

Tragedy again. Ughh.

Saw this being discussed on another forum...by the third post, it'd gotten religo-political, and fairly heated.

Irregardless it's a tragedy.

RIP.

It's not 2012 yet.  Ft. Hood is doubley terrible because that has an effect on all military personnel.... the "one of us" thing.  And now Orlando with their shootings, which not many details have emerged yet.

The world has been a terrible place on and off for thousands of years. Even in the last 100 years you have had groups like Imperial puppiesan, puppies Germany, the Soviet Union, the Khmer Rouge, and the Viet Cong. The difference between the past and the present however is that in the past we did not hesitate to call the likes of the puppiess or the Soviets "evil," while today we bend over backwards to make certain the one obvious and defining characteristic of the perpetrators of so many of the worlds most horrific atrocities is never spoken of aloud unless it used in a sentence explaining that the atrocities in question were not done because of that one obvious and defining characteristic.

Theodore Roosevelt would laugh in our faces and curse us for cowards.

In this turd's case, why was he even given ANY medical attention, let alone why was his life spared? A psychiatrist? Whining about being deployed? HELLO DIMWIT. You JOINED the FREAKIN ARMY!!! I did note the time at which the jerk signed up, though, when so many were signing up because they couldn't get a REAL job, and it was the "easy" way to get a degree without actually having to work for it. Now, he feels like the ARMY owes him something? Ummm, didn't the Army put his butt through school (ROTC)? They don't GIVE that away, it's EARNED of all things. The American Tax Payer paid for that degree, and he OWES US for his degree.

I hope he never sees the light of a civilian courthouse. What's his plea going to be? Insanity? HE'S a PSYCHIATRIST!!!!!

God Bless (dare I say that in open forum) the families of the innocents he killed. It's one thing to have a child commit to serve his country, and risk life and limb in a far away land. It's a truly sad state of affairs to have a murdering ranking officer in the very Army that child has committed to serve. This was murder, not a tragic incident. It was MURDER, plain and simple. Call it what it was, and settle the score, 13 times.

If what I read is what I think I read, that was a civilian female cop trained in aggressive intervention that took out the shooter. She'll never buy another drink in a bar, and is in all definition of the term, a HERO. She walked in at personal risk and opened fire, hitting the shooter with 4 rounds, and taking a couple herself. Now that's bravery. She didn't step back, hide and start whining on a radio about needing help. She walked in and shot BACK. The way it SHOULD be. But now, she'll have to spend 6 months or more talking to shooting review boards, desk service until it's decided she did nothing wrong, yada yada yada. Give her a freakin promotion, a bigger gun, and more ammunition, and above all, a PAY RAISE.

well, case you didnt notice,

you just said more for the situation than ,,,>someone else< did.
Apparently its not all that important *all of a sudden*.
Anyone notice the headlines on most all the major news papers dated 6nov09?
Thats right in line with how the situation was addressed by >someone else<.  Low key and all like there is something to hide.

I hope they both drop dead, they are my enemy based soley on thier actions.

I can not honestly find the words to share with those families who lost thier children.  Its something no parent should ever have to experience and for that matter, no nation under these conditions.

I did not see this on the news, so I knew nothing about it until it was posted.  I was so upset yesterday I couldn't even say anything more.  I still can't really come to terms with the horrific thoughts of it all happening..

I do not watch the news, ever...so I don't see the horrible things that most do from day to day. I can't stomach it... it just gets worse and worse, and if I watch it all happen daily, it effects me in terrible ways, I can't handle it at all. This is one of the many reasons why.

shooter served on the Homeland Security Policy Institute’s presidential transition task force between April 2008 and January 2009 when Barack Obama was inaugurated as the nation’s 44th president.  (while stationed in the DC area).

I'm not sure who >someone else< is, but NO ONE has called this what it was. Why was this man armed? An armed psychiatrist in a group of unarmed soldiers? It is what it is, PREMEDITATED MURDER, PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Call it that, and stop being afraid to hurt a Muslim's feelings. Muslim has nothing to do with this unless the jerk was some sort of radical plant with some sort of embedded chip that could be turned on when needed. I don't think he could have made the rank of major and been in the service that long and not been found out. He got deployed, his gravy train stopped, and he didn't like it. I don't know if he "intended" to MURDER 13 people, or just hurt them enough to keep from being deployed. But, MURDER them he did. Most religions are very clear about murder. Military justice certainly is clear about 1st Degree murder. An eye for an eye. Figure out how to kill this dude 13 times, and publicize each one on television. We'll even let the take-down by the police officer count as the first, so he only owes us 12 more. I don't give a rat's an00s WHAT his religion is.

My heart goes out to the families that this traitorous enemy of our country has robbed US ALL of their loved ones. The people he killed are the very fabric and core of this country.

I've steered clear of giving my opinion because I didn't and don't want this to turn into a shiznitstorm.

I don't care if he is a Muslim, Christian, Satanist, or Pagan. I have little belief that religion played any part whatsoever in his decision.

If it was to be a religious mass-killing...why not nab a few grenades and set 'em off in the mess hall. Just sayin'.

No, I think he was at his wits' end...and tried to do the suicide-by-cop thing. Why didn't the shager swallow a 12 gauge shell and save a lot of pain for a lot of innocent people...THAT's wtf I wanna know.

His punishment...should he live, or even wake up from the coma he's reported to be in? Well, they need something to find those IED's all over Iraq and Afghanistan...:flame:

This'll go to jury trial, you watch. Save money, here's a 9mm cartridge. Justice done, but still a poetic waste, innocent lives will never be the same again.

On to worse and more sickening news.

Turns out the FBI tried to tell the Army some time ago they might have a problem. His class mates from med school questioned his commitment. He gave very strange anti-war speeches in what was supposed to be health related symposiums. He was known to have attended the same mosque as a known Al Quaeda affiliate, Awlaki. He was in contact with Awlaki just days before the shooting. He was "counseled" for expressing anti-war sentiments to soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, who he was SUPPOSED to be counselling. After that, he got a promotion to Major. (How'd that happen?) All of it overlooked by the Army why? Umm, BECAUSE HE WAS MUSLIM!

No, he won't get a criminal court trial by jury. He will get military trial. That's already been established. Premeditated murder under military law has only one punishment. Death. But, they'll probably amend it to keep from offending the Muslims again.

This is gonna get a whole lot uglier before it gets any better. This is NOT good for the Army. I used to think Army security had a hair trigger. Well, maybe it's not quite that sensitive. And to think of the security clearances I had to go through just to get into one of their chemical disposal facilities. Maybe I shoulda just wrapped a towel around my head and took flying lessons.

I don't get it. We have a MAJOR in the US Army spouting anti-war sentiments and no one twigs?

Oh yeah, he ain't in a coma either.  He's already got a lawyer (a retired colonel).  Go figure that ANY former soldier would even consider representing this germ.  People like this guy are a boil on the butt of society.  Lance 'em, be done with 'em.

you all need to stay on top of your AM band stations.  FBI got thier news last week from on site callers talking to radio shows.
Back in my day, your ass would have been written up for even talking to any freaking form of media.  The army has so many waivers now, fat, dumb, drugies, rapists, thiefs, robbers along with people with no record can get it.  You dont like the last sentence, then pretend you didnt read it and call me what you want.  I'm pretty much right most of the time and have little room in my world for empathy.

I think empathy is short for "emotional" and "pathetic".

The real news will not be printed. Call it what it is????????

It was a terroist attack. It was in the cause of his people he rejoices with, not those he swore an oath to.

Walter Reed wanted to get rid of him, complicated process even for a military person due to him being an intern.  Meeting held to discuss his power point presentation about the wrongs of america attacking in iraq....( a litttle class he held with his fellow muslems)(one of several undospoogeented complaints because it wouldnt be nice to write up the only muslem and also wouldnt be politically correct.

It was said during a review "what do you think would happen if we were to disipline the only muslem here?"

He was basically promoted and deployed out to the field.

no one in our emo leadership will call it a terrorist attack.  Cant wait till we are a strong nation again, softies are getting us killed, literally.

I dont hear too many muslem organizations (maybe 1) denouncing his actions,,,,,,,,,Nothing from a real person speaking to the press. Wonder why...

i dont care why, its a natural conflict of interest to have muslems fighting muslems.  Thats why we did not let puppiesan fight thier own people in ww2, no trust.  I dont want anyone in my country who refuses to assemilate (sp).  They want our perks but want to kill thier wife or kids when they break some creepy / crooked law they drug over here from thier homeland.  Next thing you know, the soft people running the nation make provisions for these idiots.

now this specific idiot will get his day in court but even DR FRIGGING PHIL seems to side with the muslem.  Im sure San Fran Sicko will to.
im watching this one,, and i know barry is to.  He has to play it right so his people dont insult muslems.  We sentence him to death and he will be a marder.
