Of course, you are talking detail services that cost thousands of dollars, and even though these guys can afford a Ferrari, money is still money. On the other hand, many of these guys do detail their own cars. Plus, it's not like Ferrari 330GT 2+2 parts are a dime a dozen. Want a new windshield? Wait until there is enough demand for a company to make a run of 10 more, then pay 3K for it. Want a new fender because of a "little mishap?" You have to have someone make it! No "reproductions" out there! When is the last time someone at a muscle car show told you to "go ahead and sit in it!" Several told me to do just that at this show. Don't get me wrong, I love American cars! I'm just saying that these guys are gearheads just like us. Only a set of pistons for their cars are priced in the thousands :eek:Shiny Side Up!Bill Quote Selected
Rare cars spotted... Reply #34 – October 20, 2009, 08:10:58 AM A few more... The Blue car is a Ferrari 400. They can be picked up for around 30K, but watch out if it needs engine work! A complete rebuild can run you another 30K or more! The gray car is a DeTomaso Longchamp, powered by a Ford small block. The owner actually worked on the De Tomaso assembly line in Italy as a young man, and helped build this actual car!Shiny Side Up!Bill Quote Selected
