new project car...TC

So I was on a road trip with the better half, doing a little shopping for Cole's first birthday, when I saw an '87 TC for sale. ;)

So, I picked it up (literally) paid for it and brought it home.
Started gluing a coupla pieces together, when it hit me;

I'm addicted to Thunderbirds!

Oh yeah, it's plastic, and about 8 or so inches long (, that sounds bad lol)

I forgot that it came with the bodykit. Now if I was good enough to cut a hole in the top for a moonroof, I'd build a dead ringer for my Sport.

I found a hobby shop that has a bunch of model tc's for the 87-88 body style. I think they sell for $10 or $15 each.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Any good hobby store should be able to get 'em at least, I think they're still being made.

Mine came from Hobby Lobby.

Mine's gonna get a 5.0 lol :punchballs::rollin:

Funny thing is, i thought about doing that.
Bet the model gets the 5.o in before the real Tbird does lol.

Maybe in a few days after I get the interior painted, and round up the engine stuff I'll post some pics in the long-dormant model car thread.

It'll take me a few days because a lot of my models are boxed up in the basp00get, and I plan on making a little work area for them down there, as we have a very curious 10 month old boy who's starting to be able to get into stuff now :evilgrin:

Besides, as much model  as I have...I need all the room I can get lol
