Great car! I have a perverted affinity for these squared cars, I guess because it respresents an extreme and goes completely against the shapes we see so common today. You are fortunate to find one without a vinyl roof. They look so clean without one.

It's kinda neat to see the contrast bewteen your black Box Bird vs. my black Aero Bird. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with yours.

I am trying to remember if the Box Birds have taillamps that light up full or just on the ends. It would be great to see added sequential taillamp action if they do.

I enjoy seeing more Box Birds on here!

I almost bought an 80 back in the day. I wish I would have! I ended up buying a 79 Mustang Ghia, it had a 5.0 but man was it a dog!! Plus before I got it home the tranny pooped out!!

Cool car. From the angle of that picture, it looks like it needs some major tire in the rear. Work on that. lol. Keep us posted on what you decide to do.

Yeah that is the 108" wheelbase Fox platform. The wheelbase is longer on the 1980-82 models. It was shortened for 1983.

yeah it has 195/75/14's on it, quite narrow for my taste, rear tires still have the nipples on them

Yes, you can fit quite a bit of tire in the back of these things, even with the "tuck".

I miss that car :(
