Re: ac delete kit. Reply #1 – April 17, 2005, 05:00:05 PM Not sure about the freon, but unless you swapped in a mustang power steering pump bracket the a/c delete won't work with the tbird/ cougar one. Quote Selected
Re: ac delete kit. Reply #2 – April 17, 2005, 05:07:23 PM the kit comes with that. plus i don't understand how it wouldn't work, they are the same engines. 1988 5.0 HO. Quote Selected
Re: ac delete kit. Reply #3 – April 17, 2005, 05:16:30 PM The tbird/ coug has the a/c and power steering bracket as one piece. I bought the a/c delete kit from ford and couldn't install it without the mustang bracket. It's a different animal, same species. Quote Selected
Re: ac delete kit. Reply #4 – April 17, 2005, 06:07:28 PM Don't try to discharge the freon yourself - to do so hurts the ozone layer (I'm sitting here with my first April sunburn EVER, so there must be something to that ozone hole stuff), plus it's illegal. If somebody sees you doing it you could face a fine of several thousand dollars. Quote Selected
Re: ac delete kit. Reply #5 – April 17, 2005, 06:30:04 PM Shops charge very little to vac out an ac system. In addition to the incredibly harmful effects to the enviroment, breathing in that stuff or spilling it on yourself in liquid state (don;t ask) is very very bad for your health. Quote Selected
