iPhones are only available through Rogers in Canada, and Rogers does not have any cell phone towers near me. I had a Rogers phone before I bought this house, and when I moved here I had zero bars. Plus I'm too cheap to pay the Apple tax :hick:

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

I'm actually right now doing google searches on "spontaneous rebooting" for this phone. It has a habit of rebooting for no reason at all, several times a day, and apparently it's a fairly common problem (which is not recognized by RIM). It will reboot in the middle of a game, a phone call, or just sitting on the table. Many people with the problem say they went through three phones or more before getting one that doesn't have the problem (and it seems the problem is not unique to this model). Just my luck, I finally jump on the Crackberry bandwagon and it hits a tree...

I haven't had that issue yet *crosses fingers*. I do have to do a battery pull at least twice a day though. Very annoying. I have missed quite a few phone calls because of this.

I almost caved and got an iPhone. Once I convinced myself the "Apple Tax" wasn't that bad, I just couldn't get over ATT's pricing structure (especially for texting) and hit cancel order button. Should they release an iPhone on VZWs network I will gladly pick one up.

I traded it in for a new one yesterday. So far the new one doesn't seem to reboot randomly like the other did...

My voice/data plan includes the following:

Unlimited incoming/outgoing calls and texts to/from my "fab 10" numbers, nationwide
250 daytime minutes
Unlimited evenings/weekends (evenings start at 6)
Unlimited data

Not bad for $45/month (plus fees, of course).

iphone 3gs FTW  I don't have one, but a friend had one at the H.S. reunion, and I have to say it's the cat's ass.

RIM has been having terrible quality control issues lately. I'm planning on upgrading from my 8830 to a Tour (9630), but they've been having so many trackball/call quality issues that I've had to hold off for a while :(  I do love my Blackberry though :)
