Anyone Ever Seen an '87 Sport with Leather?

My brochure says leather wasn't an option on the '87 Sport.  I'm wondering if its a misprint or if maybe that option became available during the year.

I remembered a friend of mine having an '87 Sport with the base low back bucket seats. His was the reason I got mine at the time. Unless they were switched with '88 seats or done aftermarket, I would say that it is a no from the factory.

Just my .02 and then some.

BTW, I had a 1988 T-Bird Sport way back when. I found out that it was totalled shortly after trading it in. It still has the ignition switch recall to date.

Special thanx to EricCoolCats for showing me to this site.

Yeah, the 87 Sport had the base style seats. Leather was available on the base seats in the LX (I think Thunderjet302 has one like this?) but I've never seen it in a Sport.

Well that settles it.  I guess I need to look for an '88.

I've never owned a car with a digital dash so I was thinking an '87 might be cool...

At least the digital dash in the Sport for 1987 was standard.

88 LX with leather yes ;). The LX seats were different than the base in that they had a unique pattern for the seat inserts. Plus if you have leather the part where you sit is perforated leather.

Oh, those look nice.  Are they comfy?  Maybe I'll "settle" for an LX with leather. :)

Yes they are comfy. If you are going to be doing alot of agressive driving they you may want something that won't let you slide around as much ;)

That way, when you fart, it fully incorporates itself into the seat.
