june 6 - god bless all in this battle-living or dead-god bless this country-my dad ,may you rest in peace-sliver star in normandy.thanks for making this world a little safer.god bless all in the service and the 101 airborne.will never forget!

my father in law lives in France... we went to visit one year and I stopped in Bastogne(Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes forest for the younguns) to visit a memorial.  It was incredibly humbling, especially as the locals are extremely pleasant to you when they find out you are an American serviceman.  There are few things that bring a tear to my eye quicker than the site of all those white crosses.
