Woodward Reply #1 – July 18, 2009, 10:33:27 AM we used to live in detroit and the dream cruise was a ZOO!!!! in a good way :) i don't know what it's like now, but 4 years ago, it was probably the best car cruise we've ever been to..... there were cars from EVERY era there.... and it was usually packed..... we made a day of it, sat at a friends business.... and spent the day cooking out and watching all the cars go by... we never drove in it, but it was usually bumper to bumper....if you're interested in all types of classic cars and have the time and money, you won't be disappointed :) Quote Selected

Woodward Reply #4 – July 18, 2009, 08:56:39 PM I used to live a block from Woodward at 11.5 mile. It is a great time. You'll become calloused to 60's vettes, muscle mopar, ford and chevy and 60's cobras because there will be so many. The Big three used to rent parking lots and put on huge new and old car displays. 9 Mile was Mustang alley. It has gotten to where everyone brings their cars out Monday through Friday and cruises before the event actually starts. We used to go out on during the week to watch the cars because it was crowded, but not such a mad house.I'm wondering how the economy will affect it. Quote Selected

Woodward Reply #6 – July 20, 2009, 03:31:20 PM I've gone every year since 1999. Last year, I cruised my '88 Thunderbird too, and I didn't see many Fox body Birds or Cougars there either. It's a great time, I'll probably cruise the Bird again this year. Quote Selected
