And the Earth stands still...

After countless times of me saying over and over how I'd NEVER own a Cougar....

Don't y'all get a hard-on...it's nothing special, not even a Fox, just an '89 Cougar LS, but hey, it's a 2 door Ford (product, anyway).

Can't have too many!

It's a little rough, but the 3.8 runs great, but the rest of the car needs a little work; shocks/struts, door panels need reinstalled (p.o. had new speakers in it, and took 'em back out, was lazy)
also needs either wheel covers or else different wheels (i have some alloys from a 92 Linc Conti that I may put on)

Probably needs a tune-up too.
For what I gave for it, I can drive it till it dies, or sell it for a little more than what I paid for it. Either way, It's my daily ride until I decide to fix my truck and pt it on the road. I'm having Automobilia
A.D.D and need to tinker with something else for a minute to make me realize where my heart truly lies.

The cougar will win you over. You just don't know that yet.

Honestally, as far as foxes go, I can fit more stuff easily in my trunk on the cougar and there is more head room in the back seat. Before you say that dosen't matter, all my freinds are over 6 foot, my wife is 5'2", and she sits in the front.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

No, but the twisted and sick part of me thought about putting a big-assed Ford decal on the back glass :rollin:

lol, I've already come to appreciate the flatter, longer trunk, as I just met a fella to sell him a T5.
Yeah it's a beater, so the good vehicles will stay rust free.
I guess it's like I don't have to feel guilty for driving it in the snow and all.

The animation...I can't remember where I got it, but you're welcome to right click and save it if you want (bet you already did ;):rollin:)

I've had it forever, saved in my photobucket, lmao

The bad on the Coug: needs a driver's side mount, the taillights dont work, but brake and signals do, and as seen in the pics, basically needs all the front end lights and lenses.

My plans are to drive it till it dies, then drag it back home fromw wherever it died at, strip off what I can sell, and junk the rest.

BTW, it's the first MN-12 Cat I've ever seen that wasn't an XR-7. Maybe I'll go read up on them some more, for more info...:D

Well....I will agree it beats walking..or driving a GM product. Anyway...

Read that near 93% of MN-12 Cougars were LS models..
I don't care though, I didn't buy it to fix up, put a v8 in, or anything else, just needs some headlights, brakes, a basic tune up, and a door panel reinstalled.

Oh yeah..I paid 25 bucks for it...that's right...twenty five. :hick:
