funked up speedometer

the speedometer on my 88 worked perfect until i ran a wire over the top of it for my aftermarket gauges. it's roughly 15mph off now. the odometer is still dead on, verified by mile markers on the side of the road. could the wire be causeing this problem, or is it something else and the wire is just a coincidence?

Love why would we send you some love? LOL Well I guess no one has a clue. I would say check the connection on the back of the cluster. Never know maybe something got pulled loose or not making good enough contact. Then What wire did you run over the cluster. Wires with electricity create a magnetic field and cause some wired stuff. They can pick up and radiate noise. So it might be something from that wire is messing with the gauge.

i believe it is the power wire for my tach i believe. i honestly cannot remember. i am planning to redo all of the wiring i have done pretty soon anyways, so maybe it will fix it.
