Just tried to put on a strut...

Man, was that easy! I'll never pay to have struts put on again!

Just jacked the body up, put it on a jackstand, then put the jack under the control arm and applied a little pressure to compress the spring about 1/2". Took off the caliper and rotor (might not have needed to, but did anyway). Took off the top nut, took off the bottom two bolts, and slid it out. Slapped it back together and ta-da!

My XR-7 was wrecked and it made the wheel lean in at the top. I assumed it was just a bent strut and I was right. I stuck a used strut on there (I just needed it to be able to roll for now, I can't afford a pair of new ones yet). Wheel is straight now!

Just wanted everybody to know that it's not hard at all to put struts on these cars.

Try with no weight from the motor missing. ;)
Had my wife standing on the rad support, and me sitting on the corner of the car. LOL
