11" disk brake conversion completed!

So I've swapped in brake system from a 91 GT had rotors turned new pads and all. Used the 3/16-1/4 adapters that worked like a charm. New ball joints too:D

I also swapped in some good used mustang gt struts. A few notes on that: First 1) You must removed the mustang mounting plates and reinstall the mounting plate off the T-bird. The mustang mount is slightly narrower. Second 2) I measured both struts fully extended mustang vs t-bird and the t-bird strut was only 1/2 more travel than the mustang so no big deal there.

Even though I marked the shock tower plates to get it dialed back in where it should be. The car was not drivable due to the camber being at 3.07. We trailered it to the alignment shop and they got the camber down to 0.07. Drives like a dream now. I have to install my 91 GT 15:1 rack next but need new rack bushings before that happens.

I reused the stock 230,000 mile springs for the time being. May go to something with an inch drop in the future.

You should have a little drop now since i bet they are broke. My pass side was broke at 86k.

Nope removed, cleaned and checked for cracks while it was all apart and they are good. This car was a one owner and driven by an older person to and from work and the store since new. Was never drove hard and you can tell. However it's old and tons of items need replacement still. Next is the leaky p/s rack and rear end is shot. The rear cover had a leak and the drivers side wheel bearing is bad and roars. It's be replaced with a lincoln mark 7 w/3:27 gear soon.

I removed my 21 year old front springs a few weeks ago,and they look like they are nearly new.
