Deck In - No Sound

Hey so I just got my deck in, everythings right as far as I can tell but alas I have no sound. The car has premium sound so I put the switch to off, and I searched around in the trunk but I'm having trouble finding the amp.

Car is a '83 T-bird with premium sound, no eq. and no door speakers.

Please halp.

Center? As in dead center? Can you give me a small description of what I'm looking for please?

I'm still a little unsure of how I can get the sound, I can either disconnect the factory amp or run new wires to the head unit, correct? However I really don't want to take this interior apart as its squeek free and I always seem to lose a few screws when disassembling a car interior.

The amp is behind the lighter panel. Remove the radio trim panel, remove the lighter panel, and it's mounted on a metal bracket at the very bottom of the dash, almost on the floor.
