This is why I would never drive a Smart or Pod on the highway. They're meant for urban traffic only.

last years North American International Auto Show (08) i argued with a smart car associate about my legs being the crumple zone in an accident. He then proceeded to try and get me to sit in one of these go karts for lack of a better word mind you i am 6 foot 2 inches tall and all of 266 pounds. long story short i told him i had more dignity than to even try and fit in one. I also believe that Mercedes either owns a controlling stock in SMART or is the parent company.

Yes Smart is an automotive brand of Daimler.

I hate to say it but i like the SMART Roadster.

So wouldn't the new score just be Mercedes 0.

That test was at 40 mph.  Well within city driving speeds around here.

Lets see Smart vs. Suburban........... Homerun, its outa the park.

A Suburban would probably just flatten one of those little critters...

Appeared to me the air bag was only partially effective, leads me to believe it was punctured as it deployed... Anyway I wouldn't want to be that test dummy...

The one in the Mercedes looked like he was sleeping compared to the other one.

There is no "safe" place to drive one of these as speed of 40 mph are commonly reached even in the most urban of areas. I rather ride a bicycle in traffic at lest then (assuming I dont get ran over) I dont get pinned by metal and plastics. Just me though.
