Busted my baby.

My '04 Monte Carlo SS now has half a bumper.  Some turd pulling into the gas station wasn't watching and cut me off as I pulled up to a pump, smashing my front bumper and headlight up and in.  His car wasn't even damaged.

Why me? :(

If the offender was driving rice...EMT's would have needed the jaws of life to get his butt outta there.

^^^ If that were true, my car would be unscathed, as I am a humongous turd.  And he WAS driving rice, it was a Nissan Altima...but he cut me off in such a manner that headlight connected directly with rim, leaving his car pretty much undamaged.

He then later stated that it didn't look like 5,000 dollars worth of damage had been done to either vehicle, and he "wasn't sure how I felt about cops HEHEHE" at which point I had to explain that I am, in fact, a "cop", and that no, I didn't like them either.

Best keep your Chevy comments to yourself mister!  I have a good deal of love for the blue oval underdog, but I'm a GM man at heart.  I drove an Olds Q4 I-Series for a long time, and my second and most favorite car was an Olds 442.  What was my first car?  A 1985 Mustang GT, and let me tell you, that thing was a hunk of sh*t.

I can understand everyone has their own opinion and that is fine. Just remember, you are on a Fox T-Bird/Cougar Forum. Not everyone on here appreciates Brand X, so you may have to deal with some good natured kidding. So, sorry to hear about your Chevy, but at least it wasn't your Ford. :D

regardless of make and model, modern cars have to sustain alot of damage before they're considered totalled, even though $5000 can add up rather quickly ($150 for a headlight?).  So yes, insurance will pay.  Nevertheless, it's a bummer, but like was said....it wasn't your Ford, lol.

I know he's only busting my chops, I was doing the same.  If you want the truth, the T-Bird could have been front-ended and you probably wouldn't be able to tell lol
