GM Pres asked to step down

Yep, congress is asking the top dog of GM to step down.

Goes to show Freedom has a price tag.  Now that the govt loans are issued, the govt owns gm.  So when you buy a GM car, you will also fall under thier rule and be ordered to do this and that.

Im sick of this ,

I am so ready to put an end to this administration.

Just the idea that our clown running the treasury wants the power to take over any private company that might in some way effect the economy if it fell apart is outragious.

My little brain can't process all obstruction of justice this administration has imposed on all of us and things are just getting started.

SO GM,, it was nice knowing you, and being your competition by owning a ford.  In an honorable way, I salute you and your fine service to all of us for so long.  Your price has not always been right or perhaps you did things i did not like but hey, you made cars that still are on the road today and any followers you gained along the way are still die hard Bow Ties!!!

Good luck GM, maybe you can pay back your loan and get out from under this communist leadership that has taken you over.

As for you Senator Dodd,, you lieing son of a bitch, You are the one who wrote in the >quote/unquote< bonus at tail end of the last stimulus for AIG.  You need to keep your F'ing mouth shut and step down like congress is asking you to do.  First off, those payments were not a bonus,, nontheless, the average dumb ass out there doesnt understand the difference between a retention fee vs a bonus.  NO BONUS was paid to any AIG person.  The govt stepping in and stealing it back after they awarded it is idiotic and frankly communist.  No telling how far you will go to get anyones cash you think happens to be too much.

GM-you guys make sure to stay nice and poor and make everyone the same.  Make sure allyour employees are all even up and no one gets more than the other irreguardless of how much overtime or effort is put in.  Thats motivation!!!!

Piss off cogress.

Seems Wagoner isn't alone....

Mr Streiff, 54, a former boss of aeroplane maker Airbus, had been in the post for little more than two years but had been suffering from ill-health.

Mr Varin will take over as Peugeot chief on 1 June, with an interim boss being appointed until then.

"I am confident that under the leadership of Philippe Varin, the group will be able, with all the teams, to unlock its potential," said Mr Peugeot.

One in 10 French workers are employed in the car industry, and President Nicolas Sarkozy has promised that the sector will not be allowed to collapsed.

The government has already agreed to lend Peugeot Citroen 3bn euros ($4bn; £2.8bn), with a similar loan being agreed for rival firm Renault.

are we as a people really this shallow,, or perhaps STUPID!!

"American taxpayers are not happy," Anwyl said. "But this way you're able to point to Rick and say he's gone, and that creates an environment where the loans become politically palatable."

NOT!!

this never works,, never has and never will because we are not just "the ignorant people". >ie- we remember the past well.

Speaking of memery, its your administrations carmic debt to remember and eat the words you said during your last reign.........

"The people dont care about Paul Jones, the care about the Dow Jones"  Your doing nothing positive for the dow with all this change you promised. Perhaps you have reniged on your promises of specfiic change but hey,,,,,,,,,,atleast your doing something and change you are delivering.

Go ahead congress and appoint a former defense contractor to lead GM,, im sure there's been no wasted money in that sector either. Everytime you slow motion top down matrix organiztion take on anything, it never gets done or its half ass and costs more than you expect by an average of 200%

One thing i will give you guys,, you are not taking your time moving to a new currency and a revised constitution.  Dont forget about a new flag while your at it.

How about this you bunch of f'ing wierdo's,, try a cross functional matrix orgnaization out for a while.

OH,, nevermind,,
thats only for the more progressive industries out there which give power and say to more people than you like.

I have a sneaky suspision as i have for several years that the hag speaker of the house is running this country.
Its becoming more in style to become un-american these days.

The donkey and the elephant have become out of style in my opinion.

I really wanted to comment on the business side of this, and Wagoner's lynching, but this thread is about 90% political, 10% GM, so I'm out.

Needless to say, as a GM guy, this is a painful price the corporation is having to pay, just to turn around and be run by policy makers who wouldn't know the auto industry if it was dropped into their lap... obviously since it was and they did this.

Unfortunately the only way the  big 3 are going to survive this is to model their operations after the foreign car companies that have plants here Toyota & Honda. this will mean big cuts in pay for everyone working at them, but this will never happen too many people with the opion that they know whats best for everyone when they haven't worked a real job a day in their life .
