Made a couple of deals.

Alright, you guys havent heard from me in a while. But Ive been doing some wheeling and dealing. You all remember the econobox bronco2 I had? yeah that went bye bye when this kid at school offered me this...

Its a 1970 Chevy Bel Air wagon. My bronco was worth MAYBE 600 bux. and it was a problematic little . Now, I traded the bronco and a bare roller 302 block I had layin around for this gem. It didnt run when I got my paws on it. It "sopposedly" jumped time and screwed itself all up. BUT I put new points in it and it fired up. all well and good..... riiiiiiiight? leaked oil like a sive, exhaust smelled sweet.... no antifreeze and it had a tap.

Under further diagnosis.. I dropped thunderbus's 350 in it to keep it mobile because shes a heavy one. head gasket on the left bank was blown and before it even got that far I found a problem in the valvetrain. One of the pivot spacers on the #7 intake valve was upside down  follow that down, lifter is cupped and the lobe on the cam is trashed. FUN

BUT the good on the motor is, the bottom end is solid. .030 over. cylinders arent worn. it looks pretty fresh inside. just gonna toss a truck/rv cam in it and put the ebrock intake back on her and cruise with the aviators a surfboard and the theme to that 70's show playing in the background.

Whatchoo guys think? I think I made out like a  bandit.

OMFG my dad had ed near the same car, same color. I can remember being like 5-6 driving down the road staring at that brushed metal strip of death on the dashboard and listening to "up town girl" on the radio. Wow that brings back memories.

Glasspacks are lame in my opinion. Awesome car man should get dropped low and I'd just cruise.

what im lookin to get from this motor that im building is a round 300hp. and equal or more torque.

Gonna toss some 3.55's in the back or a decent street/highway cruising gear. im thinking magnaflow or flowmaster for the s. and im just gonna drive it =]

its a solid project but im not gonna throw crazy money at it. thats the birds place. that 351 t-5 combo is gonna be ballsy when its done no doubt but this wagon is closer to being finished than the bird will ever be haha.

Magnaflows, be different. And I would think 3.55s would suit you well for what you want. Guess it depends on how your tranny is geared too.

I want a wagon so bad.
