Header nut size

Does anybody know the correct size/thread for the  stud nuts on stock shorty headers? Ive tried 4 or 5 different nuts but they  only tighten barely tighten before they get too hard to turn anymore.

I know it is 7/16 stud and I think it is 7/16-13???
