I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Listing a mileage would help. So would describing it a little. Maybe it is an "ultra low mileage never seen rain or snow" car. Then it would be worth some bucks. Personally, I still don't think it would be worth what they're asking, but it could get close.

Wow thats a bit high. Theres always one person that thinks their car is worth crazy money out there. Thats like my old boss who had a 70 Barracuda with py paint and horrible work he said it was worth $80K and a Mopar specialist told him he'd give him 5K. Kinda a difference there?

Mybe they started the price high so they'd have plenty of room to negotiate down if need be.

Bingo!

Now if that was Jay Leno's FIRST CAR.. and he wanted it back bad enough for his collection so he could say "and that's the first car I ever owned" would be nothing for him to drop twice, or three times that much for it.

Another example, Is a Pizza worth $252. ?  This inset exactly how I heard it the first time, but close.
http://www.netfunny.com/rhf/jokes/91q3/gatepizza.html true or not?

I guess the value of a pizza is simply relative to how much you have or are willing to pay.
