Yeah, well.......... deal with it. Reply #15 – February 18, 2009, 07:29:20 AM Quote from: Lightningbird;257425WHHHHHHAAAAAAAATTTT!!!! Why have that shiznitbox when you could get a Fairmont or LTD that is way cooler and would accept all the stuff you have in your garage when it gets to that point. The car is virtually clapped to the max...and if it was a Ford, you could justify bringing it back from the dead....that Swedish pen 15 pump is justifiably lame. No wonder the big three are dieing off, people think it is OK to own a car like this.........Am I crazy???Bah.Except for being underpowered, the NA Bricks are decent cars. The 200/700's are pretty much bullet-proof. 4-wheel discs, 5-link rear susp standard, as well as being RWD.A 700-series 4dr sedan wouldn't be my first choice personally, but I think he needed something more than a project car at this point. Some of you guys aren't happy unless it has a blue oval on it... I'm going to have to look into those.Actually as far back as the 100-series cars (142/144/145) they had disc brakes front and rear (if not further back). I don't think the 140's had the 5-link though, but I could be wrong. Quote Selected
Yeah, well.......... deal with it. Reply #19 – February 18, 2009, 12:32:50 PM I'd do one, I think it'd be fun to play around with. Of course I'd like to do an RX-7 with a 5.0 too but thats another story. Quote Selected
Yeah, well.......... deal with it. Reply #20 – February 18, 2009, 10:04:10 PM Definitely 5.0 swap in that thing. Those cars make great sleepers. I like the 780 too, there's a nice one I see at school a lot. Quote Selected

Unfortunately, it looks like the Bird will likely be sacrificed to the fiery furnace, unless someone want to buy what's left of it after I remove the only really reuseable parts (radio, alarm, and shiny new snow tires).QuoteA 700-series 4dr sedan wouldn't be my first choice personally, but I think he needed something more than a project car at this point.Quite correct. Since I rent a basp00get, park on the street, and have no place to work on or store a broken car for any length of time (unlike many here, who have 15-car garages, barns, shops, acreage and/or relatives with space to lend), and no time to work on it even if I did have the space, I was forced by practicality (Oooo... dirty word!) to buy something else.
