73 mm or 76mm mass air meter February 21, 2009, 06:21:39 PM I want to buy a C&L mass air meter but wanted everyone's thought about which size. Would I notice a difference between the 73mm & the 76mm? If I added the 76mm pipe, would I notice any improvement?I have a stock bottom end, cleaned up E7s, cam has the intake lift of the motorsport B and exhaust lift of the motorsport E cams, explorer intake with 65mm throttle body, stock air cleaner box with K&N filter, stock mass air meter, and stock intake tube. 73 mm or 76mm mass air meter Reply #1 – February 21, 2009, 08:07:38 PM Are you still running 19 lb injectors? If so you can get a cheap 70mm MAF that works fin with the stock 89-93 Mustang MAF computer. Go to the wreaking yard and get a MAF (housing and sensor) from one of the following cars:92-94 Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, Lincoln Town Car94-95 Mustang V6 or V8Make sure the sensor inself has a part number that begines with F2VF and you're fine. Grind down the on the front of the housing and it will fit right in your stock MAF tubes. I'm running it with no to support the MAF (there is no where to mount one on this particular MAF) with no problems. Oh and just to be clear: use the sensor (the black plastic thing on top of the MAF) from the 70mm MAF (part # starts with F2VF) NOT the MAF sensor from the stock 55mm MAF you have now. Quote Selected
