Back Home...

Just pulled the Cougar out about an hour ago (neighbors are PISSED). Started right up like usual. It only sat for 6 or 7 weeks but I thought it might struggle to start at first. Nope, right over and smooth.

Dont get me wrong, I loved the SHO and want another one day (2010:burnout:) but its like coming home driving the Cougar. Everything falls into place.

Plans for tomorrow/today-

Wake up from my nap and go get the inspection done

Go get tags

Do as much of my tune up as I can before work

Oil change

Clean it in and out

As long as I get it legal so I dont have to get rides to and from work and school (PITA) Ill be happy for now.

Feels good to sound fast again, Working on the actual being fast thing still though.

Just figured I would update you guys on how things are going. Probably not exciting for anyone but me but I still felt the need to share.

Well got to drive it around about 15 miles today and accomplished nothing. Still felt good though. Guy who does my inspections, wasnt working and not everyone will pass me because of my exhaust and tires (replacing soon). So thats a no go. Mom lost insurance cards and office is closed, so couldnt get tags anyways. Just killed the whole day really. Got all excited for nothing. I need to get an O/R H or X pipe soon so I can delete my smog pump and s those converters. The tube that runs into the H pipe is rattling and no matter what I do I cant get it to stop.

Overall just disappointed really.

Got it back on the road (legally) last night with the help of my Dad. He ran around getting everything done for me. PITA but better than picking me up from school and work LOL.

Needs A LOT of work. I forgot how much was wrong when I put it away. Tires are first. Going to order my rear tomorrow I hope.

Need to get a steering rack, O/R H or X (smog tube is rattling), O2 sensors (Hard to pay that money)

Is the dizzy out of an 86 HO the same as an 86 SO? I have been running an HO for a while now but things seem off. I did the timing at one point but I have a choppy idle and in gear I run 600ish RPM.

I know my O2 need replaced due to wiring, and I might have a bad Spark plug wire, and the timing might be off, or all of them.

Looks like I got a lot more than I remembered to get done.

Need to take care of the rust issues too.
