MM or Griggs panhard bar Reply #2 – December 21, 2008, 09:18:39 PM Supposedly a panhardbar won't mount up underneith without some serious modification from what i've heard. They will mount to a stang but birds/cougs and marks are different in that area from what i've heard.Haven't tried though but just a warning that it may not work without welding up some kind of bracket. MM or Griggs panhard bar Reply #3 – December 22, 2008, 06:10:28 AM I spoke with Jack Hidley from Maximum Motorsports about this. He said the panhard bar will fit, but the biggest issue is exhaust.Quote from: Jack HidleyThe PHB itself will fit in the car correctly and clear the gas tank. The problem is that the T-Bird gas tank is larger and/or more forward than the Mustang gas tank. This doesn't leave room for the stock tailpipes. Most of our customers who have installed the PHB on a T-Bird just put dumps on the exhaust. We had one who used Mustang GT tailpipes and modified them to fit. However, I don't have pictures available.I'm sure a good exhaust shop could make it fit. I would look over the PHB instructions on our website and take careful looks at the exhaust photos. You may also want to look at photos posted on the Corral. On a Mustang, the most important issue is that the tailpipe go over the axle, then once it is at its lowest point, turn towards the outside of the car. That is how Ford routes the exhaust. A lot of aftermarket companies make both direction changes at the same time, and that won't fit. I would recommend just getting a pair of Dynomax 2.25" tailpipes to start with. They have the correct factory routing. Quote Selected
