1982 Jaguar XJ-6

This car is nice.  I never drove a car that rode as nice as this Jag.  I bought the car a couple years ago for my wife.  The tranny was slipping when I bought it, but I didn't car.  The brakes were brand new when I got it (only put 10 miles on since I got it), and those are a pain to replace, at least the rears are (book time is like 20 hours, or so I'm told).  I had plans for a 351W EFI and my big AOD trans.  I had the mock up done last year, so I can tell you what it needs (didn't deal with driveline yet, but have a good idea).  There are no kits out there for Ford conversions, like the chevy boys have, so it was fun trying to get it all figured out.  There are small block chevy kits for $300, so for about $5oo plus motor and trans, you can drop a sbc in here, and be going in a couple days, Ford conversions are a little more complicated.  The body is straight and rust free.  the car was repainted about 5 years ago with a black and gold metalflake (she is beautifle when clean and in the sunlight).  The interior is red leather, and needs redone.  The carpet is trashed, and the seat should be recoverd.  All glass is perfect.  Last guy to come out and look at it busted a headlight when he threw the hood open ($4).  I know I won't get anything close to what I have into it out of it, so my loss is your gain.

Take it home for $700 OBO.  I can also deliver it within a reasonable distance for some extra coin.  Possible trade considered.
