just an introduction..

i just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself, i am John, i live in DFW.. i have been looking around on the boards for about a month or so now, just been trying to read and search as much as i possibly can.. i dont currently have a bird right now, but am in the process of looking for one as a project, looking for a 85-86 V8 bird.. if anyone knows of one in the DFW area let me know.. im not entirely new to the Birds.. ive owned an '86 & '79 before.. then somehow i got switched over to Mopar's and am now trying to get back to Ford somehow or for some reason.. lol..
The board here looks real great with a lot of very knowledgeable people here.. i hope when i do finally find a project and can get to wrenching that you all can help me out as much as possible..
anyways, just wanted to say hello..

John

thanks everyone i appreciate the welcome.. i have located a few 'Birds in the area around here that meet most of my requirements, but i am trying to find one that wont need "tons" of body work on the, trying to find as rust free as possible, i know thats going to be a little difficult with the age of the car being a little over 20 yrs old, but being in the south, it shouldnt be all "that" difficult to find a "mostly" rust free bird..

Another Texas bird hunter!

I might have a line on an available T-bird, "friend of a friend" sort of thing.  PM me if you're interested.

well, just wanted to send an update.. i did find me a project, wasnt what i was planning on but, well, what can you do..
i went to go lokk at a '84 bird, and when i pulled up to the guys house, i happened to notice his neighbor had a car sitting in his driveway for sale, so i talked to guy about his '84 for a bit, but i couldnt take my eyes off his neighbors car.. so after i finished talking to the guys i walked over to his neighbors just to ask how much he wanted for his car, and come to find out it was the same price as the '84 bird, so after a little thinking i pulled out my cash and hooked up the trailer to a 1973 Camaro, i know its not a bird, but, well, like i said what can you do, when you find a deal..
so i would like to take a moment and thank all of you guys here for all the knowledge i have read on here, you guys have some great looking cars, and are very knowledgeable.. maybe down the road i will get me a t'bird like i had planned on, but for now i have a '73 to build..
have a great new years ya'll..
