Magic Jack Reply #1 – November 27, 2008, 10:59:36 PM I've seen it,and it appeared to be an awesome deal, but for us,our computer and phone are on the same line,so,we're staying put.If you DO try it,I'd like to hear some feedback from you. Quote Selected
Magic Jack Reply #2 – November 27, 2008, 11:27:30 PM My phone costs on dial upline 1 , 2, 3 , 4 = 210/moISP costs on line 2 , 4 was 20/mototal 230 x 12mo= @2800converting to HughesNet @75/mokept line 1 and 3= @110/mo for both.I expense line 3 and 75% of hughesnet to my company.Everyone was skeptical that I would be able to connect to my company VPN but it works like perfect even with the .9 delay. So if i delete both phone lines 1 and 3,, buy two devices,I save even more.As of now, telecommunications costs us about 2100 a year, phones representing about 70%(includes hughesNet and two phone lines).I am seriously considering it. I checked into them and old telecom name poped up....lol,,,, TELSAVE!!! the guys vidio is encouraging as well because its an american company as well. Vinnie,, do you mean your on dialup? Magic Jack Reply #3 – November 28, 2008, 12:21:11 AM I've recently heard that (if you have DSL anyway) that the ISP can furnish you a line for that, but NO phone service. IF that were the case, then IF the magicjack really works, it could save a bunch O money Quote Selected

Magic Jack Reply #6 – November 28, 2008, 10:43:44 AM I surfed the ned for a while seeing what others thought. I cant figure something out though, can you work on line and recieve / make calls at the same time? Quote Selected
Magic Jack Reply #7 – November 28, 2008, 10:51:35 AM Yeah im pretty sure you can recive calls while online.... and they give you a phone number for life.. either in the packaging or you call an 800 number... supposedly you can open up the package and plug it in and make a call....... just like that... Magic Jack Reply #8 – November 28, 2008, 12:20:29 PM I just talked (chat) with a csr and wanted to get the word "abuse" defined per thier ToS.I was told on the chat that 3 - 4 hrs talking is not considered "abuse". I do not see what is considered abuse in the ToS but I am looking into this more. Quote Selected
