Lincoln brakes...

Does anyone know where I could get rebuild kits for Mark VII rear calipers?? Haven't been able to find any, just whole calipers. Thanks, Herb :hick:

I was told they are out of the "scope" of the home mechanic or some  like that.  Prob. a bunch of .  You know they are available somewhere cause the guys that build the whole caliper are using them.  I think maybe it was the Haynes manual that told me not to service them.  Doesn't seem right to tell you to rebuild a motor but don't touch the rear calipers.

I was just hoping to find a rebuild kit  , because the new ones are about $75 a piece.

Yeah, I already tried what you are trying.  I didn't have any luck.  I ended up finding some good ones on a salvage yard lincoln. They looked as though they were relatively recently replaced so I c00ched em up.  The new ones I priced were more like $90.00 though.  I didn't too much like that price.

Repairing a lock cylinder that is frozen or sans keys requires a drill, gumption, and a midget on a tricycle.
