Torivio Trip 2008

Wow!  Everyone looked like they had fun at CatJam!  We we're hoping to attend this year, but as everyone knows, things happen.  We will hopefuly have next year planned out for a trip to Ohio.

One thing that happened for us is that we bought a travel trailer.:D  If you know us, that is a big deal for us since we were camping out in a PopUp.  For those who don't know us, we have 7 kids to camp with.  This one should be plenty big for all of us.

Here is what we bought:

Only thing is that we have to pick it up in Grand Rapids, MI.  As some of you know, we moved from PA to NM in 2006.  So while picking up our TT, we're going on an East Coast romp to visit family and friends as well as see the sights.

Here is our planned route:

This journey will be about 15 days covering 6000 miles.  Starting and ending in Moriarty, NM with stops in Chicago, Grand Rapids MI, Toronto, Niagara Falls (CAN/US), Boston, Cape Cod, New York, Philly, York PA, Gettysburg PA, Washington DC, Jamestown VA, Baltimore, Clarksburg WV, Sutton WV, Charlotte NC, Atlanta, Mobile AL, New Orleans and Dallas. We'll be passing by quite a few of you.  So if you happen to see a white Ford E350 15 passenger van pulling this TT, wave! :D

Well, we finally arrived home on 9/14 (Sunday).  What a trip that was!  Final mileage count was 5100 miles.  The trip to see the South was canceled due to Hurricane Ike's arrival.  While is PA, we rode out TD Hanna.  A whole day of heavy rain, but nothing to keep us from visiting the old stomping grounds. :D

Here are some pictures of our new TT while in Fort Leonard Wood, MO:

This is what how travels ended up:

Of course, once we picked up the TT, our gas mileage went from 14-15 mpg to around 8 mpg. But, we had a lot of fun for our maiden voyage.  We can't wait to plan the next trip anywhere!
