instrument cluster question

ok, so i've looked at all 49 pages, at every post that looked halfway relavant, so now i shall ask:

does anyone know or have the pinouts for 1983 instrument clusters.
i have the buttstuffog in mine now, and a buddy of mine just dropped off a digital one for me.  i desire to use the digital, and i understand that the speedo will work if i just plug it in, but the fuel will not.  i understand that it is wired just a little differently, and that i could possibly just re-pin my connector.

anyone?

We're not ignoring you (probably), it may just be that nobody has the pinouts for your clusters. I know I don't. All I do have is snippets I've saved from various posts here, there and everywhere...

------------------------------
digital
15 Ohms empty, 160 Ohms Full
base (buttstuffog)
83 Ohms empty, 12 Ohms full
------------------------------
87 Evtm page 127 or 129 shows
Empty - high resistance - 60 to 86 ohms
Full - low resistance - 8 to 12 ohms

87 shop manual 33-20-1 shows
Empty-low resistance-22.5ohms
Full-high resistance - 146 ohms
-------------------------------
Scott, Page 127 shows the buttstuffog fuel gage.
Page 144 shows the digital (electronic) fuel gage.

buttstuffog sender has low resistance when full.
Digital sender has high resistance when full.
------------------------------
Fordification:

(Empty / Full)
  73  -  10  Ohms pre-1989 Fords
  16  -  158 Ohms most '89-up Fords
------------------------------
Death awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy teeth.

1988 5.0 Bird, mostly stock, partly not, now gone to T-Bird heaven.
1990 Volvo 740GL. 114 tire-shredding horsies, baby!

does anyone have the ratings for the 88 style?  i'm going to the junkyard in a few days to harvest a truckload of parts for some resto's we are doing here, and i figured i would look into all my options for my own parts as well.

i know the mk7 digital senders will work, as the ohm ratings are extremely close (i would see empty on the dash a touch sooner than normal, but i'm cool with that), but in the event i dont see a bill blass in the yard i DO know that there are multiple digital dash birds and cougars there
