I Found An 83 Heritage

i took a call today from one of my repair shops to pick up a car .i get there and an old man answers and said ill open the garage .well as it opend i seen the taillights of a tbird.and thought how ironic the one call i get that i dont know what im going after and it turns out to be a fox tbird.as i walked around the side i noticed the coach lamps.cool a heritage i yelled.the old man said what the hell was that ? i then engaged in a conversation about the car and to make a long story short his wife bought the car new it has 65,000 original miles on it its white with canyon red plush seats its been garaged its whole life and aside from the chiped paint on the door jams it looks perfect in every way .the lady is to old to drive it and they want to get it fixed so they can donate it to the rescue mission. i then proceeded to add my input to his thoughts and and he said he would rather see it go to a collector like my self than to some kid who would tear it up .i offerd him $500 for it and i am awaiting a phone call after he speaks to his wife.....crossed fingers

Cool find!

Your story sounds similar to mine. my first T-Bird I bought (and still have) is a 83 Heritage with the 5.0 and TRX suspension package.

The lady that sold it to me was the daughter of the original owner. After the man had a stroke, the daughter drove it. then she got a newer car and let her son drive it. He promply burned off the right rear tire and about thrashed the engine to death. He parked it and I bought it in 1992 with the factory 5.0 ticking.

Had it ever since. love that car, however it has been in storage for years.

Enjoy your Heritage.:D
