A4LD Transmission Question August 08, 2008, 12:32:02 PM Alright, this is mostly going out to anybody who has an 87 or 88 automatic unmodified turbo coupe.I just had my transmission rebuilt, and it seems to jerk in and out of gears. Is this normal? I've never driven the car before the rebuild, so I don't know if this is normal. The fluid level is full, but its a hard shift. If i punch it, it seems to shift fine, but almost like there is a shift kit in it. I know nothing extra was put into the tranny. Any feedback is appreciated. Quote Selected
A4LD Transmission Question Reply #1 – August 08, 2008, 02:15:39 PM The A4LD that was originally in in my TC shifted like any other stock transmission... Possibly there is a problem with the modulator valve or vacuum line going to it... Quote Selected
